United Kingdom of Censorship
In my judgment, the courts of [United Kingdom of Censorship] do authorise its judges' acts of corruption and being technically uneducated. They go far beyond merely enabling and assisting.
I conclude that both judges' and the politicians of [United Kingdom of Censorship] infringe the rights of the people... in the world.

Thanks God, there were empty. What?! Wait! Empty? F*ckk!
God forbid you worry about poor people. The stupidly rich bastards are always the people who matter most.
Yet again, Britain has to join in any argument they can to try and dominate everyone (as usual).
Im surprised they havent saved the money and given it to all of the illegal immigrants for new houses and posh cars. God save the working class!
If you disagree, go fuck your own face

I'm willing to collect several links to tutorials, articles (mainly about the RIAA's deceit), and actual 'legal' torrent links for TPB, and put them on my site. Also if anyone want's to help just send me an e-mail to [email protected]
The thing that the people of Hollywood and other mass media need to realize is, if you actually create something that is amazing and has actual quality, and not something that is recycled and recycled nearly word for word from a idea born 30+ years ago (ie: Dukes of Hazzard, Bewitched, Death Race, The Wicker Man... this list could go for hours), people WILL pay to see it and there's a fair possibly they may even buy it later, and The Dark Knight is a prime example of this. Hell, even a movie like Avatar (again, recycled idea - Fern Gully, Dances With Wolves or Pocahontis all over again (how did it take you 20 years to write this Cameron?) - but it was worth seeing at least once because it was the 3D that made the movie and I don't even like 3D movies. I know it's not possible to come up with a near $1billion box office title every year, but COME ON! Try to give us something even remotely original instead of sequel after sequal and 1970-1980
That said, the most likely outcome will just be an increase in the use of proxies, and it's quite practical to set up (for free and in only a few mins) a simple system which will send certain website requests through the proxy and leave the others as direct connections (I have foxyproxy on Firefox directing sites of my choice to tor). You suffer a speed hit by doing that but it works.
And of course you don't need fast download speeds to access torrents on the pirate bay, torrent files tend to be very small and with the recent move to magnet links it's even easier. Once your client has the magnet link there's no way to filter that because it becomes distributed.
In short, it'll on
In short, it'll only stop casual downloaders, and even they'll get around it as more knowledgeable users help them out.
Nobody puts the Bay in a corner!
What's that on screen? The Pirate Bay front page? How did they get there?? But... but.. it's the UK and it's blocked! Howthe?
derp.
censor the internet will you, bloody thought police?
i don't think so, fuck you very much ;D
And proxies are fine to use, I just didnt think we lived in North Korea!
That sucks. It's called first Amenedment rights (For those in America).
expro will change the world without this place.
You are obviously one guy.

That probably wouldn't work, though it'd be nice. American government would screw with them, too.
Switzerland is one good place they could place it, because Sweden is getting all pissy now.
And to anybody who's wondering.... Yes, the magnet switch will occur tomorrow. The Bay will no longer host torrent files after the ten peer mark. Yes, the do open with whatever torrent client you have. :) Magnet away..... With a torrent of magnets!
piratebay wouldn't be the same as it was before... unfortunately.
Because as long as your service provider is owned by the same people desperately clinging to fallacious ideas of owning information and controlling creativity, the internet and all our communications will continue this downhill slide towards a Heinlein-esque hellscape of thought police and indoctrination over education.
Kill the media, fire the representatives. Let the people rule and set the ideas free.
